Founder
I'm Judith, the founder and creative director of Tailored Kenyan. For years, my world was banking—a career that taught me discipline, precision, resilience and the importance of paying attention to every detail. But somewhere along the way, I knew there was another dream I couldn't ignore.
Fashion had always been a part of me. I loved the creativity, the fabrics, the silhouettes and, most importantly, the way a beautifully made piece can transform how a woman feels. So I made a decision that was both terrifying and liberating: I left my career in banking to build Tailored Kenyan. It wasn't simply a career change. It was a decision to bet on myself.
I wanted to create a brand that celebrates the modern Kenyan woman—her ambition, her femininity, her individuality and her confidence. A brand where African-inspired design can feel sophisticated, contemporary and effortlessly luxurious. Our pieces bring together refined silhouettes, distinctive prints, thoughtful details and effortless femininity—from the boardroom to special occasions and everything in between.
But for me, luxury is not only about the clothes. It is about the experience. From the moment you discover a piece, to choosing the right size, placing your order, receiving your package and finally wearing it, I want every part of the experience to feel thoughtful and intentional. My background in banking taught me to value professionalism, trust and attention to detail. I bring those same principles into Tailored Kenyan, while allowing my creativity and love for fashion to lead the way. Every piece is created with intention, but so is every interaction with our customers. Tailored Kenyan is more than a clothing brand to me: it is a space where Kenyan creativity meets refined fashion, and a promise to make every woman who shops with us feel special. Because I believe beautiful clothing deserves an equally beautiful experience. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is have the courage to start again and create something of your own. And this is only the beginning.
